SOLD - VX, Now have MY14 CRUZE
Hey guys, I have a holden VX S-Pac Randomly got in my car and started it fine, but saw my immobiliser on and flashing red?? "Is this normal? I never remember it being on while driving ? Then I decided to try and lock my car with me in it and unlock it, It wouldn't lock, I though meh what ever.. Must be because I have my car on, got home, Turned car off got out, Tried to lock car and it wouldn't lock...

So now it seems my immobiliser stays on even while driving, and my car won't lock with the buttons, and my boot button doesn't work either...

Advice? Lol thanks.

Maybe you have a flat battery in your remote. I don't know about the immobiliser, if it is on then your car shouldn't go.

It might be a problem with your BCM then, or the sensor that receives the signal from the remote.

Too many to list......
Does your car unlock with the remote locking? If so, press that and see if the light goes off when you do. If so, then your problem could be either key head or key reader (the round metal ring around your ignition barrel)

Hmm thanks.

Thought I'd go to gym and sort this out later, gym bag is in my boot... I can't use my remote so decided to push the boot button in my glove box, and guess what ? Nothing.... So even the glove box boot button isn't working.

Does that help narrow it down ?

I'm thinking BCM or a wiring fault. Try resetting the BCM by disconnecting the battery for a few minute. You will need your PIN code for the radio if it is stock.

Drop down the ski hatch and there is a yellow pull tab to open the boot. My VX does this intermittently I have to check the earthing that's what I would say is causing it.

Thanks guys! I got it sorted.

I unplugged the battery for 2 minutes and that fixed it completely.

I found the pull hatch thing for the boot thanks to this as well,

So thanks everyone so much! much appreciated.
