I don't know about that statement as I've driven a 4 cylinder Camry and own a 3 litre Omega... The 3 litre feels quite a bit more responsive than a 4 cylinder Camry and is a little smoother than the 3.6, IMO and from what I've heard... I've also heard that the 3 litre was originally meant to be turbocharged, though I don't think that was officially said...
Does the 3 litre use appreciably less petrol than the 3.6 litre though? If not then its completely pointless, just like the 4 cylinder Camry.

It's a little bit stupid that you guys in Queensland get charged per cylinder... Does that mean that you pay cheaper rego on the new 4 cylinder C63 and pay more for a V6 Commodore?
Correct! I pay 1200 per year on the SSV purely because it’s got 8 cylinders meanwhile a 6 cylinder Land Cruiser 300 series pays less rego than me despite weighing a metric fuckton more and thus doing more damage to the roads!

I'd say around 1 to 2 litres less than the 3.6... This engine drives quite a bit nicer than a 4 cylinder Camry and has quite a bit more power (in fact it has more kw than the old LE0 and 5 kw less than the LY7, though less torque)... So it's still not completely useless and has enough power not to be completely bored...

Another example of Government's not keeping up with modern technology...

What does CI's and CC's mean? The displacement?
CI = Cubic Inches
CC = Cubic Centimeters

202ci Holden Engine (Early VB - VK etc) which can be translated in 3.3L or 3300cc

yup basically engine displacement

CI cubic inch.
