Pros
- safe, reliable, spacious vehicle
- a good place to start if modifying a vehicle is your thing
- fuel economy is good for a car of that size
- good driving position and very adjustable
- comfortable on long hauls
- well priced for the size of vehicle
- well balanced and responsive for a big car
- fairly cheap to service
- plenty of kick for everyday driving
- well equipped, if dated, interior
- EASY to drive!
Cons
- the handbrake - you WILL pinch your finger in it until you learn not to wrap your index finger under the handle when releasing it - and it looks like a broken elbow when it's up
- thick A pillars - though you'll be accustomed to it within about 6 minutes so long as you have a neck (I don't find it an issue at all)
- omegas are very under-damped - you'll wish you bought an SV6 when you take a corner on the quicker side (unless you plan on a spring/shock upgrade)
- not a V8
- interior not as up-to-date as other cars in that price bracket - but the design is now 4 years old
- massive delay on gear changes when in 'manual' mode (if that's even an option on an auto omega - not sure - but that is across the range)
- no LSD on omega
I'm sure there's more of both.. but that's a good place to start - would make a good first car!
