You need one of those beanies that just have letterbox opening for your eyes.

Not sure if the miserable look because you're in a cold shed or in Tassie or possibly both
It's my concentrating face, trying to do something only Millennials and Asians are good at and that's using a phone camera backwards.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
For those who mentioned about the MDF swelling. It doesn’t swell.

I found a bit I left in the rain (heavy rain) on a drain. A lot of water. It was there for what? 5 days since I posted? Something like that.

That is soaked through. It’s no thicker than the dry stuff and it’s still ridged.

MDF does swell when wet, I have some but if it dries out it can also shrink back. I've seen it with my own eyes.

But that doesn't look like MDF, more like a fine particle board of some sort.

I know that there are at least 3 grades of MDF, high density MDF (the good heavy stuff I prefer), standard MDF (lighter cheaper stuff) & moisture resistant MDF (wax impregnated but never used it).

May be @Fu Manchu has some water resistant MDF knocking about in the rain but I’d not want to rely on it holding up long term in the rain.

From what I understand water resistant MDF can handle the same environmental conditions that marine grade ply can handle. From what I’ve heard, marine grade ply can be placed in boiling water for hours and not suffer problems.

I’ve only used marine grade ply once, to secure an opening exposed to rain, and it still looked new months later. I wouldn’t try the same with any type of MDF…
