if you cant make at least 285 hp at tyre out of a mild 308 then there is something wrong. My last motor before I went with blower made 285 at rear easy and this was the specs

308 red block
standard crank ground 10/10 and red rods
acl race series piston 10.5-1 comp 40 thou over
acl race series bearings gaskets ect
crow hyd 520 thou lift cam 110 lobe, 232 @ 50 dur
come racing prepared heads flowing 480 hp
mildon bolt on rola rockers
edelbrock daul plane performer manifold
750 vac holley
recurved dizzy
jp gear drive
standard oil pump
standard push rods
pacemaker extractors into single 3inch pipe
and running into an auto box

easy 285 hp better then most people get from strokers you just need to do the right things, not just buy big dollar items that dont match.

132hp at wheels with a 202, VK EFI, worked head and cam, upgraded bottom end exhaust etc, in a Torana ... since that dyno its had a few upgrades, so im guessing by the feel of it that it might be pushing 140hp at wheels ...

never run it down the quarter, would love to!! but i'd pe pissed if it wasn't in the 14's.

well i put her on the dyno over the weekend and punched out a 140hp figure, who would have guessed heheh
