I chose not to mention them as inexpensive V8's was what Holden was working on in 1965.
The only reason for my post.

What about the 3rd manufactuer in Australia Holden and Ford were competing with? Don't they get a reference in this thread, or hasn't your research been that thorough?

Holden may of refined the red blue black six they didn't spend much on R&D if you think about it they made the same motors for 20 years.
None of their emission controls were well thought out as in lasted a long time who has a blue motor with a working efe system?
