Hey guys getting one of your old bored out MAF's and throttle bodies soon from an unfortunate write off, for about half the proce which seems good haha
Anyway wondering what I should expect in terms of power, throttle response and fuel efficiency?
And finally would you recommend I get the 12mm plenum and manifold spacers soon, or perhaps after a few other smallish mods?
I currently have a full exhaust (extractors, high flow cats, 2.5 inch), CAI, and one of your memcals.
Thanks in advance

Oh and it may help to let you know it's a VS, V6 obviously

Hey frogsta,

"Hey guys getting one of your old bored out MAF's and throttle bodies soon from an unfortunate write off, for about half the proce which seems good haha

The throttle body will give gains between 3-5rwkw. The MAF will require a custom tune which we don't support remotely

"And finally would you recommend I get the 12mm plenum and manifold spacers soon, or perhaps after a few other smallish mods?"
These will certainly help, along with a set of higher ratio rockers

"I currently have a full exhaust (extractors, high flow cats, 2.5 inch), CAI, and one of your memcals."
You will need to get the memcal updated to suit the larger throttle body. We cannot help with a MAF tune sadly :(

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Kindest Regards,
Steve

It's not one of your current MAFs, an older simply bored out Ecotec one. I like the down low power so ill put the spacers on my list haha, and rockers were also a plan later as well.
Should I be expecting any kind of increase in fuel efficiency? Currently getting 15l per 100k :/ (getting o2 sensors soon)
Also if I get the spacer
s and rockers can you guys do a tune for them?
Perhaps 3.7 diff gears too, sorry if its a bit much haha
Thanks

I would not recommend using

"I like the down low power so ill put the spacers on my list haha, and rockers were also a plan later as well."
No problems

"Should I be expecting any kind of increase in fuel efficiency? Currently getting 15l per 100k :/ (getting o2 sensors soon)"
.5-1L improvements in fuel economy

We can no probs

Hope this helps

Oh okay what exactly does that mean? (pita)
And would you recommend silicone piping to replace standard?

Pain in the ass :D

Urban Dictionary: PITA

You can replace the factory piping, however unless you're going to use silicone all the way through and or insulated metal tubing, then I wouldn't worry about the upgrade

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Oh right fair enough, easier using the LSx one, I see
And yeah I'd replace all through the intake piping, looks good too :)
Fitting them today, will probably do some kind of review for the TB

Being a VS Auto, you may find that you'll need a different memcal to suit. You'll definitely need a different memcal to suit larger MAF, however we don't have anything to suit :(
