Howdy folks ...
Any upholstery gurus out there?
Yesterday was a damn hot day and when I returned to the SS after work the drivers side of the roof liner had detached itself from the roof...
It's that lovely sort of light coloured furry roof liner that the VSIII SS 's have , not a vinyl one ..
So , my question is ..what's the best thing to restick it with that won't make marks which will come through the material and look crappy???
All help is appreciated.

I used 3M fabric adhesive from Bunnings.
Be sure to only apply a very thin coat so it doesn't soak through the fabric and stain it.

If you're going to re-do the whole lot (which I recommend as the rest of the fabric will most likely fall off soon anyway):
1) pull roof lining out
2) peel the fabric from the cardboard
3) rub the original yellow glue off the cardboard with a big brush.
4) brush off the clumps of yellow glue from the back of the fabric
5) wash fabric in a bucket and let it sit overnight
6) let it dry and iron out all the creases
7) place the fabric over the cardboard until in place
8) pull some of the fabric over and spray the adhesive on the cardboard in sections. Once done put the fabric back on and press it down with the palm of your hand.
9) repeat 8 until all fabric is glued down
10) re-fit roof lining to car and enjoy for another 10+ years :D

Good luck :)

I've got a similar problem with my roof lining. The fabric isn't peeling away from the cardboard but the cardboard is dropping at the back. How would I go about reattaching it to the roof?

OP, I replaced my roof lining last year. There are details in my ride thread (link below) if you're interested.
