When I bought my car, the glove box was just in the back seat. I thought I'd re install it but it looks like stuff is missing

This car is full of surprises lol

If you are wondering what that plug is for, it's one of two things. The factory GPS rarely ever seen or its a computer access for the Engine Management System. Can't recall which one. ( an access for more detailed engine management than via OBD2.)

Are you sure? I'm trying to figure out how to hinge the glove box but it's as if something is missing.

Got a photo of the glove box you’ve removed?

Pretty long pins for a gps tracker, they should ask the person they brought it from what it was for, they added something and removed it, could be anything. Might of being a x cop car.

GPS is not that bit. It’s the plug up higher.

    I figured out what’s missing.
Hinge clips from the glovebox support bracket.

Search eBay for “VZ glovebox” and you will find them.

Get the blue ones which were a revised design that sit the glovebox a bit neater.

Thank you!! Now I can put this poor car back together I've been googling my head off trying to find info lol.

BTW, those massive pins are the remains of the glove box light switch. I need new one of those too... I'd love to know why the previous owner did this .
