i did a few things to mine a few months back. i got 455 rwhp (340kw) from:
x force headers and high flow cats
xforce 3'' catback
big comp cam
1piece pushrods
double valve springs
OTR intake
double row timing chain
custom dyno tune
underdrives

all up cost me a bit under 6k.

I've just done the full exhaust, CAI and tune and it worked out about $5k... Now considering a cam, so another $3k or so.

I live in the same town as you and used Chev's Performance in Carrum Downs to have my items fitted and tuned.
