Toyota 3L engine 2.8L diesel out of the hilux, bullet proof and just keeps going and going.

Red 308 for me, unfortunately I only have 253's, but I do like the efi 304

i love rb26's but i think the rb30/26 combo is insane, in saying that though im a v8 man at heart so a good old lumpy 355 stroker would have to be my favourite. also i agree with mikecuzzy, for reliability those ecotech's win hands down. i once had a vn paddock basher on the limiter for nearly 3 hours and she still kept going

I'm with Darren_L, love the 308/304 and the fact it is home grown. As Darren said they are great in a light bodied car, had an LH/mild308/4 speed combo that was an absolute gem for high speed cruising.

304. Great engine when it first became injected in 88/89 as mentioned before. Should also mention excellent power for a late 80's car....

IMO STILL the best sounding motor with just an exhaust/headers behind it...
