I'm an apprentice engineering fabricator i work at hm gem engines in dandenong on cylinder heads basically checking them fixing them grinding out corrosion, welding them, straightning, checking the and fixing cam tunnels and making sue all is good before there machined and stuff them reassembled. Crap pay but i like working with motors so its good experience i mainly do alloy work so not a lot of commmodores but still do some of the cast iron work

2nd year apprentice light vehicle mechanic,for some of the jobs i do the pay is **** lol.....but yeh just the usual servicing, oil change, filters, spark plugs, machining brakes, clutch removing and replacing,cooling system repairs, coolant flushing, :bang: changing batteries :bang: pre delivery inspections:bang: wheel alignments and trade school for 10 weeks of the year.

me thinks a pay rise is needed:D

Hehehe, I can soooo relate to that. I've been through a fair swag of jobs attempting to support my education habit. I seem to have found a place that suits me nicely though, I'm currently working as a casual storeperson/delivery driver for a tyre wholesaler. Best part of it is that swearing at customers is not only mostly acceptable, it's pretty much neccessary in order to communicate with some of them. :D Oh and being able to afford decent boots for the VN is a bit of a bonus ;)
