Installing twin amps in a mates boot, got a power distribution block to split from 1 to 2 for power, what gauge wire for battery to block and what gauge from block to each amp. He had an 8 gauge sitting round, figured might be good from block to amp but that prob need 4 gauge from battery to block. How close am I and your suggestions. 4ch amp for speakers running from rca is a 430w with 4x60w rms clarion, he hasn't got the second amp and the sub yet so can't comment on rms etc yet cheers

Look at the fuses on the amp and use the table on this page to determine which wire is required for each section.

From your limited information, it sounds like 4ga from battery to distribution and 8ga to amp would be fine.
