I concur.
Use standard ratio roller rockers with an upgrade cam for the best results.

Cost vs gain though?

Do it yourself and it doesn't cost any more.

Use the right cam for the setup you want and you'll benifit from it much more then dodgy high ratio rockers.

regrind on a stock cam $280 gain around 20% more hp throw in some new inlet gaskets and timing cover gasket and maybe a timing chain if the cam is large but not totally nessicary we run [email protected] 0.495 lift on stock chain and springs revs to 6500 no problems

Yes that is a definite factor, however, Cam's open up a better power range, not to mention considering longer term benefits, a higher performance camshaft, along with an upgraded and strengthened valve train, along with some suitable ratio rockers to the cam specs is probably a better choice?

Cam with upgraded valve springs and double row timing chain + Increased compression = Torque/Kw/Power

Rockers = a bit more power thanks to increased valve lift, but won't open up as much gain as a cam.

In my experience with cars, you either do things properly or be happy with something that isn't really....

This is also very true.

Point of the thing is, take the motor out, build it properly! haha.
