Why do v8 guys seem so unhappy

It runs nicer on 98 & seems to have more torque down low ,gets way more out of a tank too.

It's big block 1.6 auto..when working drive it everyday in Shitney peakhour traffic...if got a day off or rostered week off I'll drive vp ute everywhere & Getz will sit for a week or two untouched lol

First got it be lucky to get 350-400km per tank on junk fuel...slowly messed around fixing things it now gets 500-550km per tank mostly suburban driving or stop/start peak hour traffic.

Yeah, reckon I'd be "really unhappy" if the above was my vehicle. Yeah reckon if it was mine I'd be still wishing I was driving a V6.....

Quite often people ask me if I am running a V8 in my VC....Just this arvo, a fella asked me "A 308?" My reply was "202".

Yes it has extractors, a 2 1/2" system and a mild cam, but the extra cubes and cylinders it doesn't....So should I be happy or unhappy?

In these days of confused opinions, genders, and life choices, I think you should get some counselling to assist your decision making in whatever is the current socially accepted degree of un/happiness.

That's the problem....Read the thread, or the forum in general, people are saying they are happy with their V8's, yet I am quite happy with my 6.....In fact, I have 8 cars in total, with 6 being 6cyls, 1 V8 and 1 4 cyl and enjoy my 6cyls more than the 4 cyl and V8.....So my idea of being happy obviously varies from the social side of this forum

True....Happy people don't know the difference in the sound of a 6 to an 8 and 2ndly being cheaper to run the 6 compared to the 8 of the same era
