Organising new tail light surrounds. Will look tops.
Also organising new grille, wheels and trims. Found a guy restoring another 4 cyl.
Also looking into trims with no speaker holes.

Today leads and lower radiator hose showed up.

Started working on this again today.
Started doing the water pump. Just gotta remove the damn crankshaft pulley.
Started at 4.30
Finished at 6.30.
Started to think that I should rip her heart out and do a rebuild.. While I'm at it clean up the guards a little..
In the middle I picked up a welder. So now I just need gas and a little practice and welding I go.
Also, found a little bit that I don't think is a good thing..
Front bar rubs the panel work in the middle and there's a cracked in the panel, middle front. Pictures explain it.. will attack with a wire wheel and see how it turns out.. have a feeling she's been in an accident..

That's what I thought..

Front bar has large gaps on the sides, front. But center is touching.. Or is that how they came out?

nah nothing wouldve been touching from factory, theyre not THAT dodgie :p

easy way to get the alignment a bit better is get some blocks of wood and a scissor jack behind the bar. push the bar forwards with the jack, using planks of wood on something really strong behind there then 'persuade' the bar with a rubber mallet or just punch/kick it.

no need to go forceful, may just be a case of needing to bend the mounts ever so slightly.

I meant having about an inch gap under the lights then close to the center of the car.

Maybe I should take it off and throw it on a frame or something to push the middle.
Maybe it's twisted as well?

Thinking of just taking some of the plastic cover out to remove the cover to get to the water pump.. it's already damaged..

Ari, give me a quick rundown on adjusting the carby?
