pretty close to buying a 6psi kit for my vr.
Will 6psi be ok on my vr? it will be intercooled.
Will any boost be lost in the intercooling?

Get in the ute
6psi running good on my vp, I think the vrs have a little more compression.... but it's been done before :)

intercooled will be a nice setup, but you will apparently lose a little boost.

if you want a 6psi pulley cheaper than CRS, letme know :)

Vp luke, could you tell me what the diameter of your 6psi pulley is? if you could measure with a set of calipers right where the belt lays, that would be great.
cheers

You lose around 2psi unless you really really really really streamline the piping 1-2 PSI is a normal loss due to the distance travelled through piping and intercooler.

okay!

sorry, i've never seen a clutch setup before ... the bearing i bought fits perfect, and seems like it will absorb absolutely all the force of the belt on the pulley, so even if it's the wrong setup, it seems like it will work ace.

however I think it's spot on:

the bearing is mounted on the silver ring thing that bolts to the front of the charger with 5 bolts.....

and the outside of the bearing fits snugly inside the actual pulley.... it's a hard-to-press in by hand fit, so i don't see it going anywhere.

Is this sounding more right?

Unless it has a retaining clip to keep the bearing in i wouldn't be placing one there just for the hell of it.

:flame: Ummm also finger tight is nothing when that pulley is told to spin like f**k when you crack the throttle.

this is a bump sortof.

im looking for one of these kits...

looking to pay around 6-700 for a complete kit.

bits i know i need ,charger, piping, brackets, 3psi pulley with clutch, + maybe 6psi pulley for later. detailed instructions, for complete mechanical newbie.

i would like the throttle body moved infront of the charger and get rid of the BOV and the psssh. no idea how to mount this so one already like that would be sick.
