Last year same thing happened to mine - too much coolant in the over flow, found out it was the radiator cap.

Good to hear it fixed.

I may have missed something here....Why did you buy a new radiator????
Have you considered it may be a rooted head gasket???
Compression gas enters the cooling system and pushes coolant out of the radiator via the overflow bottle.
Sounds very likely..... especially if it has gotten hot!

HMMMMMM!!! You have not stated if you checked this.... but here goes again.
Get someone to check if it is exhaust gas or not..... you said it got hot previously.Your radiator shop can do it for you.
Or you can run it up for a while with no radiator cap on it???? Just in the garage... dont go driving on the freeway ar anything like that. (REMOVE THE CAP WHEN THE ENGINE IS COOL THAT WAY YOU WONT GET BURNT!)
You may see bubbles if it is a head gasket.
Also check to make sure your bottom hose is not getting sucked in on itself when it gets warm. This will cause a restriction to the engine and it will overheat from that too.
Also you can see if there is coolant flow when the radiator is full and the car is running.Which will give you a very slight idea if the pump is running. The fins rot off the impellor sometimes if it is not maintained correctly.
Let us know how you go.
