I just installed on the weekend a Xforce stainless 3" system on the weekend, extractors ,high flow cat with VAREX remote back ends and sound what a 6ltr should when the butterfly's are open. couldn't be happier. close the butterfly's and it doesn't upset the neighbour's in the morning

"What a 6Ltr should sound"

Its such a subjective saying.

A lot of people, myself included hated the Xforce sound. It doesnt have that rumble from each bank that a H Pipe design has. Sure he might be happy, fantastic, but what he likes in an exhaust isnt what I like or what the OP wants by the sounds of it.

Sound aside, Xforce is reknown cheap quality that either requires hammer work to even get them to fit or hangs extremely low from the chassis.

PS. This is mine. Sounds a bit echoey due to where my Private Test Track is located and had to get off the throttle cause its a short tack :p

Xforce are a joke. My system didn't fit, The welds cracked around the muffles after a 2 months and it sounded ****. The the best thing i did was to give naaf on here a call and get a Manta system that fitted. It sounded great. My new LS3 will be getting the same treatment.

Any exhaust sounds a **** load better with extractors. I used to have an xforce on my 6l and like you thought it sounded horrible.

Once I put on some 4-1s and high flow cats it did improve it allot. It's pretty subjective as to weather you like an x or a h more. The X's to me sound a little raspy. I probably like a h pipe a bit more.

But to answer your question extractors will dramatically improve the sound of your xforce IMO.

Yea fitting 4-1s and high flow cats will definitely make it sound a lot better. It's the headers which give it that 'pulse' kinda sound, but you also need to have enough air moving through to hear it.
I have an X pipe on my difilippo system and it sounds fine to me (ls1 tho) they might switch to H pipe on VEs. I only have a shitty video of how it sounds with catback only, sounds a LOT better with a full system.
