1. With all the advanced electronic diagnostic equipment available to the dealers, if half competent they should be able to identify and resolve the problem for you.
You'd think so wouldn't you lol...I will definitely be doing that, thanks. I had no luck with holden again and also no luck with an LPG specialist who I stopped in to ask. He couldn't find anything either because the car decided to behave for 5mins but he did say the clicking noise is normal and its the LPG injectors. I'm not completely convinced because this noise only started a week ago. Tonight the car took a turn for the absolute worse with lagging and jerking between gears and shuddering that bad when driving felt like I was driving a small truck. I did finally get a warning light on the dash though- the check engine light came on. It went of when I turned the car off and left it for a couple of mins before turning it back on. I tried it on petrol again and got home no dramas on petrol(weird coz it was doing it on petrol before also).
Tomorrow I will be writing that letter, ringing holden again and also will pop into an impco specialist to see if they can find anything. Hopefully now a fault code will come up in the system scan.

So frustrating ! Thanks for your input though mate !!

I've had a couple...

For work I had an original 2006 SSV - nice car but the leather was awful. Even though I took care of it the cheap leather on the drivers seat cracked and became excessively worn in around 20,000kms. I also had to fight with two seperate dealerships before finally getting my front strut repaired under the 'clunking' recall that they had with the early v8s. Pretty much every dash panel and A pillar plastic item rattled. One dealer got rid of a few rattles only to introduce a new one when they installed a pollen filter a few weeks later. Air con leaked.

Next was a 2009 MY10 CalaisV. Same leather issue. Drivers seat replaced at 7,000kms due to the leather being completely stuffed (and I'm not a big/hevy person - so I cant imagine what it does if installed on a car driven by a say 95kg guy if my 75kg frame is enough to wreck it. Cheap leather I expect). The calais had a leaky tailgate (wagon) that ruined the inner roof lining at the back and leaked onto the wagon carpet. Dealer tried to tell me it was because I hadnt shut the boot... that was until their own apprentice hosed the car ready for me to collect, I opened the boot and showed them the water pissing down through the roof lining. oops. new roof lining, new seals on the tailgate, new beesting antennae and new dvd player because the water had run forward into the roof. Got it back to find that the dvd didnt work. it took them 2 hours on a friday evening with a laptop to flash the cars various computers until they finally worked out that the software they were updating was for a non-dvd (non colour screen) unit. Once the little chinese tech got the CalaisV software it all started working.

Next work got me a 2011 sv6 sedan. whenever you'd start the car up cold it would sound like it wasnt going to turn over... and just barely would. You'd start to drive off and about 100 metres down the road there wouold be a loud CLUNK in the dash just in front and to the right of the driver. They never found out what caused it but they at least admitted they heard it. The IQ would go blank... or worse lock up. It would freeze and no amount of turning the car off and on or opening doors would un-freeze it. Eventually it would just come good on its own overnight and away I'd go again. Thankfully work just let me hand it back and they got me a nice 2013 wagon.

This new 2013 wagon was built at factory to be a cop car but never driven once by any police. They recieved it and auctioned it off straight away (with a truckload of other cars with almost sequential number plates). The IQ on this one doesnt turn off when I open the drivers door sometimes, meaning I have to manually turn it off to stop it playing. it usually does turn off however after the alarm/immobiliser has kicked in. One of the three keys supplied open sthe doors but wont sstart the engine (obviously isnt keyed into the immobiliser cpu) and the steering wheel is at about a 8 degree lean to the right (the front wheels pull left). Other than that its perfect... :-(

2 door locks on different doors faulty.. not locking or unlocking. Faulty reverse camera. Machined my disc brakes for nothing when I had shuddering on braking (the pads from new now changed) . 54000kms.. that's all I think. December 31 2013 ends my 3 years.

I have a wobbly balancer getting replaced under my extended dealer warranty on my 07 SSV. also have a cd stuck in the stacker... When I try to eject it the screen says "mechanism error" and noting happens. It's not my cd so I'm in no hurry, but I'll eat them to fix it when the balancer gets done

2011 SV6 Sportwagon series 2 and a VY exec 2
I have an 2011 S2 SV6 sportwagon. I bought it 6 months ago, with 20000ks on it. Noticed it was using oil, 700mls or more per 1000ks, consumption tests done, I suggested they use full synth, 5W30, much better, only used a litre in 6000ks, still no good as far as I am concerned, but, hey WTF, stuck with it now. Also brake fluid master cylinder cap leaking, replaced twice, still no good, so I made myself a gasket for it out of a old bike tube, placed this under the caps internal rubber grommet thing, guess what, no leaking. FFS Holden wanted me to leave the car with them all day????????

I have a 2011 SII VE SSV Ute
Blockage in the sump after 19,000kms.
Just after that which I think happened because of the previous problem... Loud ticking eventuated into all new lifters and new camshaft.
I'm going back to holden today because there is still a ticking noise which has come about a month after previous fault.

IQ System stuffing around every now and then.

Once, the screen wouldn't turn on. Had to restart the car.

Sometimes it doesn't turn off when the driver opens the door.

Still no luck !

I will be ringing Holden Australia to make a formal complaint tomorrow and taking my car in for the SEVENTH TIME on Tuesday.

Last Friday, I went to pick up my car after 2 days of Holden (and the LPG specialist they outsourced it too) having it. I hadn't even made it out of the parking lot and had to go back into the office and have it booked in again. This time whatever the idiots have done at the LPG place, my car is worse than ever and refuses to drive on LPG altogether, shuddering like its having a fit and switching straight back to petrol.

The first 4 times there was "no problem at all, car must be cold"
Fifth time I was told it was a gas leak. This time it was a faulty LPG injector. Obviously not, hey Holden ?!

I'm so annoyed !
