a lot of us are done with the sport, and with GM-H. I say that as someone who's engaged with GM-H in motorsport since I was a young 'un in the 80's.

they killed the commodore and the track equivalent of the replacement holds no appeal. good luck to them, their fanbase is eroded and they need to find a new one.

So for all the rumours of GMH pulling out of NZ/AUS it looks like they are staying.

They sponsor a lot of sport stuff too, nrl for one.

Supercars needs a wider pool of manuafacturer entries.

The days of holden/ford/jaguar/volvo/Nissan etc all racing were the best.

An XJ Jag 2 door won Bathurst one year did it not -with a broken gear stick from my memnory.

They could replace the category with Aussie Racing Cars.
The bodies 'sort of' look like the actual car, ( better than a Lightning McQueen Mustang) the racing is closer, (gee, they even have overtaking), the noise levels are less (keep Newcastle East Enders less unhappy) and the costs are fraction of the Supercars.
Or, they could go back to (RWD) Series Production with Mustangs, Camaros, BMWs, Chryslers, Mercs, Stingers...……...

100 agree! I've been to Bathurst the last two years and it is still a great spectacle but it is hard to get energised about a ZB Commodore shell with a V8 when you know such a thing cannot be purchased.
