    Auto Vs Manual Radiators

No problem unless the auto cooler is leaking. You might want to plug the holes just to keep dirt out of the cooler in the off chance that you want to sell it later on. My old car had an auto one in it for years without any trouble.

    Farming in New Zealand

An Aussie ventriloquist visiting New Zealand, walks into a small town and sees a farmer sitting on his porch patting his dog. He figures he'll have a little fun. Ventriloquist: "G'day mate! Good looking dog, mate. Mind if I speak to Him?" Farmer: "The dog doesn't talk, you stupid Aussie...

    radiator currency problem

The problem is usually caused by a poor earth between the body and the engine. The current travels through the water in the cooling system because it can't get through the earth wires. If you don't fix the problem electrolysis will cause the radiator core to corrode. This will look like a...

    Steering Wheel Shake

Before you spend any money check your tyre pressures. My VR shakes like a bastard if the front tyres get below 32 psi. If I keep them up around 36 it doesn't shake at all.

    Anyone made a muffler?

You could try contacting Orrcon directly. http://www.orrcon.com.au/contact_orrcon/request_form.html Other companys must make the stuff so your local steel place might have something listed.

    Anyone made a muffler?

Orrcon do make it. They punch it before they roll it into a tube. http://www.orrcon.com.au/precision_tube/aluminium.html Their dealer list is http://www.orrcon.com.au/contact_orrcon/stockist_new.html

Head Gaskets - Do they go??

Sounds exactly the same as my VN s1 wagon. It runs a bit fluffy when I first start it but clears up by the corner of my street and runs good for the rest of the trip. Only mine sometimes fills number 4 with water and locks the motor if I leave it sit. So I have to pull the plug and turn it over...

    Not your normal speedo problem

This is only a guess but could the analogue speedo require more current than the digital readout? So as the current drops the analogue speedo stops then the digital dies when it reduces further. If that is the case then you might only have one problem that is displaying two symptoms. I...

how do you use a steering wheel puller??

Personally I have never used a steering wheel puller I just loosen the nut then hit the wheel at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock like i'm playing the bongo's. Works every time.

how do you use a steering wheel puller??

Here is a pic that shows how to set it up. It will be a bit different as this isn't a commodore wheel but you will get the idea. Warning The following photo contains a potentially fatal error. NEVER remove the nut from the shaft as the wheel can fly off when it releases from the...

Boot light in a VP wagon

I think my VN wagon has a tilt switch inside the tailgate. From memory its like a box on the end of a single wire and its about 8mm square and about 25mm long and held to the inner panel with 1 screw. It should have a white wire with a black stripe if not it would be orange like the interior...

    Big trouble i think

You answered your own question when you said the shock absorber is no good. You can get a vibration in the steering that is quite violent and is caused by the wheel bouncing up and down due to the dud shocky. The strange part is that it will probably only happen in the same place at the...
