23k?? thats expensive, i brought my v6 for 10k with 83k's on the clock.. Dunno why anyone would want a v8 with fuel prices these days. Make sure you think about it, really..

when you buy a v8 you usually dont care about fuel.prices mate

150,000km for a LS1 is nothing.
As said look at condition of car, I have seen cars worse condition at 120,000km then cars that have done over 200,000km. Depends on what life they have had.
$23,500 for a VY Calais? If the car has a stroker in it and the engine is all good, then yeah worth it if you want to spend that much money on a VY.
Just also think, if the engine lets go, can you afford to put the same kind of engine back into it or would you have to back to a standard LS1? Then you will have wasted your money. It's a gamble buying modified cars.
