looks great mate.
if you go down to your local autobarn or supercheap you can buy the chrome dress rims that just clip into your ceptors.
makes them look way tougher.
how come you removed the red strip around the car? they look heaps tough with it.
great first car mate, i have 5spd vs ute and i only got my p's.

i think it looks alot cleaner with out the red strips imo, gonna paint the front black one white tho.

yeah mate mine is lowered all round on pedders with 18's.
its how i bought it so i couldn't tell you how low it is.
i wouldn't want the back any lower especially with my bike or **** in the back.
sits nice and tough man, have a look if you want.

yer i was gonna go ultra lows for the rear so it sits level but i got dirtbikes n that to, also tools for work will make her sit lower

ok so all suspension gear ordered

SL king springs front and rear + monroe gt lowerd shock = $440 shipped from onautos.com.au
Lowerd monroe gt struts = $260 shipped off ebay
Adjustabel parnhead rod = $100 shipped off ebay

all these are brand new and should be here in the next week or so

next step will be instalation, backs to pretty starigth forward but im clueless to fronts :/

Any tips would be great

no real update guys,

adjustable parnhead rod arrived today, yet to open it tho.

spring, shocks and struts should arrive within the next few days.

Anytips for install?

backs look straight forward but front look a lil difficult

find some spring compressers for doin the front its a pain in the ass maybe borrow some if you know of anyone with a pair

keep the stockies mate there look tough as on ute like my vp and mine is pretty low like 100mm off the bump stops and its a pretty ruff ride so be careful

100 or 10mm? yeah i agree with the stockies but, im actually looking at gettin rid of my VY SS's for some stockies. the larger sidewall will also make it a softer ride

100mm which isent alot of travel and well properly less then that and yeah i got 15" and they ride pretty good

While you're under there you better trim the bump stops down a few inches, or else you will be riding on the stops straight away! I lowered a ute with just 'lows' a few months ago. At first there was some travel before the stops hit, but after a few weeks it was sitting directly on the stops and the ride was terrible.

Great looking car though. i have a soft spot for the VR/VS shape utes
