VN V6, nothing special
Ford Fiesta XR4 :D

-Faster then most v6 commodores (if you can drive)
-Handles a million times better then any commodore
-Safer then what you are looking at (six airbags, ABS, stability control)
-Great fuel economy (my mate gets about 8.5L/100km in peak hour)
-Comfortably fit 4 full grown people, 5 would be abit squashy :)
-Build quality is heaps better then a commodore
-Can be picked up for about 15k, But is only about 3 years old?
-Not cop bait

My mate has one, fantastic car :D

vn s pack 5spd/ vs calais S1
i wanna add my 2 cents in. so here it goes
save up abit and get a alloy tech.. vz go for around 13-14 depending on model n condition. Great engines!!
if you dunt wanna spend that little extra get a VY, they look nice (no go) (a vy is what you'll get for that price range)
want to have bit of fun spend your money buy a vt-vx and have money lefted over to do a few things to it instead of spending money later down the track
WANT TO GO ALL OUT, buy a clean vs for around 4-5, and the rest of the money spend it on her, she'll be beautiful, take care of it and it should last BUT you wont have a new and reliable engine as to buying a Vz with the alloy tech engine or a newer ecotec such as a vy (or even a vx) vt isnt that much newer.

for traction control .. if you drive your care with care you will be fine! :)

I did check fowles, but the prices after all taxes and fees made it not worth it.

The thing is I won't get my car because finance companies don't want to give me a loan, unless I pay exorbitant interest rates and other admin charges.

VS Calais
also if you buy a car check how much insurance will end up costing ya, because u might spend 12-13k on a car and have no money left for insurance.
are you looking to get a car just as a daily driver that wont cost you much to maintain etc?
id say get a vy, my mate picked up a nice one for 8k.
I myself really like the fact that my vs is on gas never spent more than $25 on a tank, and gets me around for ages.

I'd say a VZ Calais or SV6 mate purely because the engines are a step up from their older models and they look sexy as hell
