k thanx guys. personally, i am really glad to hear everyone sharing their experiences and offering each other advice.
thanx mike, that just about sums it up. i'm gonna hafta look at whats getting to me i think.
dvs_24, i can understand your position, it's as if when you back there you might find something you don't like. on the other hand, if a little one's on the way, think about how it would feel not being able to do things with him/her. little things that make a difference, like watching their sports matches, helping with homework, because you are too ill or you aren't there to watch them grow up. those thoughts might be enough motivation to think "No, i will be there for all of that, i'm going to the doctors." just an idea, and by the sounds of it, you've got a good friend in your wife. she'll stick by ya i reckon, and it would be a shame to not be able to do things with her, now and in the future. i don't know how it affects the rest of your body, so i'm just going by a 'worst case' scenario.
twinturbo's, sorry to hear about your dad mate, that's sad. but your dad had the idea and motivation we all need to follow. he set a great example, and without those kind of people in our lives, it wouldn't open our eyes to what might happen, and how we should take it. of course i can't talk, i am really quick to snap at the moment...
