Cut springs are dangerous no doubt, but you would have to be doing some speed over a bump for them to jump out. The whole weight of the car has to lift off the spring first and knowing the place you are talking about, you shouldn't be doing more than 50 or 60 there anyway. Usually it happen because idiots cut too much but I agree, spend the $$$ and buy a proper set of lowered springs.
