I bought 20 lites of Penrite vantage (full synthetic 5w-30) for $195.If it's actually black then yes definitely keep changing it regularly. I'd be using whatever half decent oil was on sale for the 2000km changes.
That should be ok but you can get better deals than that quite often. She'll 5w30 was about $30 for 5 liters recently. I wouldn't be deliberately putting it under load while the engine is full of shite. Maybe a 2 hour trip up the freeway and back to give it time to run with the oil in the proper temp range. It won't clean while it's cold.
