whats going on here. every time i go and start my my VE V6 today it just goes mental with all these errors one after the other repeating and has no accelerator working just idle in drive to get anywhere.
i have to disconnect and reconnect the battery to be able to drive it. then when i stop and start it again same thing, have to disconnect and reconnect the battery before i can drive it.

Like he said "Charging System"

How many k's has it done ?
Original Alternator ?

I am putting my money on the Alternator!

Get it scanned,

Some DTC's will indicate, Under Voltage & Over Voltage.

Change the -
Alternator
and
Battery [if its more than 4+ years old, as it possible has not had many charge cycles, and could have deteriorate over time],
[as they are the heart of the VE's]
I recon your troubles will be fixed.

thats the place im heading towards, battery. it has exactly 50 codes in it all varying from canbus, low voltage, missing throttle position switch, missing modules the works. had battery tested yesterday and it has deteriorated a fair bit and needs replacing, 7.5 years old he said, so im hoping tomorrow that is all it is but just checking in to see what others are saying.

got new battery today, old one was only 500cca, too small for the car physically as well, so someone skimped out last time in 2016.
got a new 700CCA one this time. 3 year warranty.
old one tested at 273CCA
can tell you know it starts a hell of a lot better and faster. hopefully that my issue.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
The codes will persist unless cleared with a decent scan tool.

It happened in the first place because as available voltage drops, the ECM starts rationing the voltage to more essential systems that keep the car running. As each system is dropped, a code is generated. The codes may seem to be faults but are phantom faults because the ECM is behind its own sabotage.

Once voltage is back up to spec, the codes will linger for varying time frames until the ECM is satisfied there is actually no problem. It may take 15 or 20 start cycles. Or you can clear them as mentioned.

Check the charge rate via the local menu,
Hopefully it is around 14.1 > 14.7 approximately,

I can not be specific,
as I have been told I know FA.
