still doing it, every time i start the car it faults to P0697. i have had multi meter on that circuit and its constant 4.983v on it, if i turn ignition off for 5 seconds and on again with fault cleared it wont come back, but if i turn ignition off for 15 seconds, after the ecu goes to standby and ref circuits have voltage turned off and goes to 0v and turn ignition on again it instantly sets P0697. but once cleared its all ok until next ignition cycle.
when driving the vehicle, if i go over around half throttle it sets P2138 all the time. i can not ever give this full throttle any more.
is it ecu fault ya reckon? or both ecu and accelerator pedal position sensor?

looking back at post 13
6c seems unusually cold for november
time to start disconnecting sensors on 5v rail
will set new codes, but see if you can get 697 to go away

just did it all this afternoon, jacked it up, disconnected the ac pressure switch, accelerator pedal sensor and crank angle sensor.
turned ignition on, gave 5 codes of P0697, P0651, P2127, P2122, P0532 .
cleared them then only 3 return straight away P2127, P2122, P0532
turned ignition off for 30 seconds, turned on again all 5 return. cleared again only 3 return straight away P2127, P2122, P0532
turned ignition off for 30 seconds, turned on again all 5 return straight away.
i plug everything back in, clear all the codes, turn ignition off for 30 seconds, then back on, P0697 returns again.
4.983v at the ref 3 terminal of accelerator pedal sensor, ive reseated the connectors on the ECM, still no change i that P0697.

starting to look like faulty ECM you reckon??

measure your 5v ref, turn ignition off and see how long before 5v drops to zero

was actually looking one up last night a hantek 1008c, but who knows if i need it right now. everything disconnected off the ref3 of the ecu it still throws the error after each ignition cycle.
