yeh true...i do realise it is an increased risk but very unlikely to happin... and if it does its my own fault and ill learn a very valuable lesson from it lol...
if it was that dangerous i dont think numerous exhaust shops would be giving me quotes 4 it and doing it 4 me... costing me $50 anywayz..

I think you and other people should learn, most places wont care if its a) legal and in this case b) safe. They want your money and you are giving it to them. As soon as you give them that cash, you could gas yourself silly and they wouldnt care.

save up and get a proper exhaust system done. i took my rear resinator off the other day to replace a clamp that holds it in place, and it doesnt sound that great. sure its loud, but it sounds el cheapo loud.
