They do the same here.

I've always wondered how they don't get dizzy and stack it with all the rubber necking they do.

Unlike so many people, they know how to ride/drive.

But vertigo or some other such thing.

I get all dizzy looking at the sights while walking down the beach on a hot day.

Surely that copper isn't on Ps.

Isn't there some law about falsely displaying plates ?

Not for Police.

Yes there is.
In S.A a few years back there was a push for front plates on bikes, the coppers put plates on the front of their bikes and got told to remove them because it was illegal to display them.

Yes. Must not display P plates if not on a provisional licence.

They can place on whatever they want on the vehicles as part of their duties, undercover or on special assignment

But the latest scheme sees a range of high performance sports vehicles including Ford Falcon Typhoons and Suburu Impreza WRXs patrolling the streets.

The vehicles are fitted with the latest accessories and are in a range of colours - some even sporting "P" plates - to fit in with vehicles commonly associated with car hoons.

Police Traffic Services Commander Chief Superintendent John Hartley said the scheme was part of a ploy to "blend in" with the hoons.

"What we're doing is using a combination of marked and unmarked police cars," Supt Hartley said.

Interesting. Anyone know what reg allows that? Seems to be a dangerous precedent. Breaking road rules to catch someone breaking road rules.- do as I say, not as I do!
