Seemed alright, like most chip shops they asked what i wanted and then called my number. Food was slightly crisp but in a good way, not burnt...

Alright thanks, seems alright. I guess people dont expect too much from a chip shop, but i dont want a bad rep for poor service so we will see how it goes. And hopefully improve on all the food, ill be using better quality canola oil soon once i find a good supplyer.

Sure do, all the usual, seafood sticks, pluto pups ect. Im going to cut the scallops thicker next time though.

I'd recommend solid fryer fats.. 100% better flavour if you keep them well filtered..

Thats true, but then we might get slandered for being "un-healthy".

I might do a trial with both, ill do good quality canola for a week and Soli fryer fats the next and see what people prefer and want.

Haha true that mate.. But when it comes to deep frying nothing is really healthy..
Always consider the flash point of the different oils an that it lowers depending on how long the oils been in the fryer.. Generally solid frying oils have a higher flash point but they make it difficult to clean your fryers out when cold.
