She was endorsed by the libs and elected as a lib then dumped by the libs before becoming an independent and then one nation leader

Wong. She was dis endorsed before ever becoming elected. She was always elected as in independent although from memory the ballot papers were already printed or something similar saying she was a liberal. It was actually democrat preferences that got her over the line.

Further to that, what would you have had the Liberal party do? Deny the people of whatever seat she was in electoral representation? Change the constitution and arbitrarily remove her from parliament because some (most?) people disagreed with her views? Or, just let her run her course and let the voters decide?

In hindsight I think it was the right thing to do in letting her speak. To try and muzzle her would have made that the issue with her real message getting over run. I don't think any deals were done to secure her vote on any legislation.
