does anyone hear tyres rubbing noise from the front wheels when ding a hard low speed turn? I notice it when I'm at the carpark each morning. Usually if I'm passing over a speed hump at low speeds. I was surprised as I took a fairly conservative height when lowering my redline.

No, no tyre rubbing at all.

Hi Did you find out if this is due to your lowered springs?

Are you still happy with the result now you have drive and settled them in?

Some great looking rides in here! We offer H&R springs, which drop around 30mm and our customers love them with no scrubbing issues etc. The best option when lowering for the perfect stance is coilovers though. While they are a step up in price from springs, you can't beat them for adjustability and even daily driven the H&R setup still has good comfort levels.

After taking the car back to the front end specialist that lowered my car he found that the nut that holds the drivers side front sway bar in place had come off and left it loose to rub against the tyre. Luckily no damage done. He double nutted it and put loctite on it to make sure it won't go anywhere again. Seems ok now.

Hey everyone,

Looking to lower my redline with King Springs, can get them for a good price atm.

I have been told I have 3 options for the King Springs:
1. Superlows will sit about 20-25mm lower.
2. Ultralows 30-35mm lower.
3. SP4 springs about 40-45mm lower than FE3 height.

I want to keep the the stock shockers and have been told the Superlows and Ultralows will allow that. I'm thinking Ultralows as Superlows may not be low enough.

Has anyone got any pics of their lowered VF2 Redline or can give any tips and/or experience when lowering theirs?? Has it affected the ride much at all?

Cheers guys

hey mate,

i went with king springs ultra lows all round, sits perfect, the front got a little floaty and bouncy but i reckon its the front shock operating in the last 3rd of there travel height causing it due to lowered springs, i have monroe shocks in the rear and its planted well under load. i will swap the front shocks eventually once i get around to it and there's options on the market as it looked limited at the time.

I have a few questions for FLO Rider, I am thinking of using VE springs in my VF Calais V8. I already have some VF Clubsport non MRC rear springs and I am thinking of putting KHFL 150 SSL in the front. From what I understand you by accident had the KHFL-150 SSL in your car which made it sit too high for you? Can you confirm that you had it sit at 375mm HTG? Also you said that it was around 30mm lower than standard (so standard for you would have been around 405mm HTG). If so your standard height sounds quite high! I measured a couple of factory Redline sedans Series 1 and 2 and they were at around 705mm guard to ground which means around 375 HTG. Are you sure of your original height measurement? That sounds more like the FE2 height. I am actually chasing ideally 365-370mm HTG but would be happy with 375. So maybe the KHFL-150 SSL is ok for me..
