I didn’t look at the sun for this.
Just the screen.

It has a split shine now.

I can’t take a photo of what it’s like because the camera adjusts the light. It is starting to feel more like the light on a really full moon.
Wind has dropped totally.
There is no sensation on your skin from the sun, yet you’re out in the sun. It’s cool.

It’s definitely darker looking north

If you come from inside to outside, your eyes don’t have to adjust to the light.

It will start getting bright again.

The hard shadows have a blur around their margins.

It’s so nice and cool now. I could totally handle moving Earth away a bit further from the sun. Just a bit.
Or turn the sun down. It’s really nice.

It most like a really bright full moon night, about twice as bright. Until you look at the sky. The sky is a darker blue.

I'm in South Guildford.

The light was a little dimmer and direct sun a little cooler but nothing extraordinary.

It’s getting back to normal.

I thought it was really cool. I’m not saying it was dark as night time. More what the light feels like. There was on 30% of the sunlight we normally have.

Enjoy. Next total is not until 2028. Make sure to get proper eye gear or, as you say, look at its effects.
