most holden software has anti abuse mode
if the ecu sees a brake signal it will restrict drive power
we were all young once but the stress this places on your engine, cooling system, tyres and wallet are extreme

Get a mate to drive it, much easier to abuse someone else’s car

Roll back in reverse, instantaneously slam the shifter into 1, flatten the loud pedal and keep it flattened.

NOTE - I take no responsibility whatsoever for the damage that will eventually be incurred to any part of your vehicle or wallet.

Carry a bottle of oil and put some under the tyres. Doing it on slope like a boat ramp works even better. But yeah be warned your transmission won't last long once you have done a few decent burnouts. I blew the bearings in a manual when I was 17, lighting up tyres at the boat ramp.

I have a 3.0l equipe and it won't do a stand still burnout. Even with shitty Achillies tyres on the 19" wheels it wont. It's like mentioned above anti abuse mode. Mine can do it in the wet. It' a shame because the power is there and there has been the odd occasion that I have wanted to do one on a private road of course and just can't. Grass paddock no worries mate. In saying this I wouldn't change it because the traction control ABS and the likes do a very good job of keeping our cars and us in one piece. As much as I want to cut sick drifts like DK in his modded jdm in the local Westfield car park, these safety features often save us from ourselves and innocents too. Not trying to be the fun police at all. I love a good burnout time and place permitted.
