Alright so,
I ran my battery flat listening to music with some mates, the only set of jumper leads we had were some cheap crappy ones from the $2 shop,
So we hooked everything up, and attempted to jump my car, nothing happened
We got another set and it worked straight away, fired up instantly,

Now ever since using them shitty leads my headlights, dash lights flicker and the tachometer just goes nuts. This only happens when I turn the lights on. Just a bought a new battery thinking we may have fried the old one, but it's still doing it.
Have we maybe fried the wiring or even the alternator?
Just want to get a second opinion.
Cheers

i say you had a power surge and damage the computer using jumper leads that have no surge protection
the correct way is to hook both cars up and start leaving both cars still attach for a few minutes than shut both down undo the the leads this suppose to avoid surges to both vehicles that can damage electonics

Yea starts up fine. And no burning smell
Ive got a volt gauge in the car. without the lights on its sits at 12v sometimes higher, soon as i turn the lights on, it will fluctuate between 8-11v

yea everything works the way it should, high beams, a/c, indicators etc. But funny you mention the bcm, because my indicators will just start flashing randomly and then the left indicator will stay on for AGES.

For starters this should be in the VS section. I think you may be up for a new alternator.
