Vy v6 holden ute single 3" exhaust system stainless steel mandrel bend custom

GDAY EVERONE.....

YEAH I WAS SPEACHLESS happened on 18/03/10 about 8.00pm Botany Rd Mascot.

ASE VY V6 TURBO KIT IS $6500
3" High flow cat and Stainlees mendel bend system $1300

Before i rang SUREFLO i quickly rang David at ASE (Autosport Engineering) because im interested in his V6 turbo kit.
i ask him afew questions relating to the turbo manifold / dump pipe / sreamer pipe / BOV.
whats involved and installation....

David at ASE was of great help in this area very helpful and explained to me that for turbocharging
the 3"stainless steel mendrel bend cat-back custom is the best for this application.
The turbo manifold dump pipe is 3" so it will fit perfectly to the Single 3" cat back system.
Recommended me use the Single 4" Body Ballistic High Flow Cat with 3" ends.

The turbo kit should now will be able to blot straight on will some little tweaks to dump pipe
and waste gate screamerpipe to fit 3in ends 4" body Cat. any exhaust shop can do easly...

You still nedd to supply the 500hp Fuel pump for tank though thats it..
For installation, the price is what ever is needed for the job to be complete.
I also have a front swaybar but david said dont worry the intercooler pipping will still have room.
He also said that you can still use MACE ENGINEERING 25mm insulators aswell too their is alittle bit of play.

So after double checking what was needed for turbo its down to see kurk at Sureflo exhaust.
Kurk was also very helpful when i asked him about price of my new stainless steel mendrel bend.
He said the 4" Ballistic High Flow Cat with 3" ends is $300

Single 3" Stainless steel mendel Bend Custom Straight through system $1100
So you are looking at around $1300 for the system installed drive in/out.
Sorry because i diddnt need extractor i diddnt get a price.

instead of getting my brakes and Kaaz differential / Harrop Cover done.. what people think lol DO IT. ??

Looking tops mate i haven't seen your build before but just read through the lot, you must be loving the handling!

Goodluck with the rest of the build, i'll keep a close eye now.

Yeah finally got my rear shake and bump fixed. the shake was caused by cheap indoesnesian tyres that had gone "out of round". Quite common apparently.

the bumpiness was from having the rear dampening setting too high. I had it on 25. turned it to 0 and the bumpiness was gone.

I've since added sway bars front and rear and a front strut brace.

Now the front is set a 12. the rear at 8.
I feel this setting is near perfect for response and ride.

Any higher on the rear and you turn the corner and the back starts to slide around because the front is too resonsive.

On a dry day, front 18 rear 13 is the best. In the wet 8 front rear 2.

Optimal for both is the first setting.

Sorry i have been busy with other things and can you beleive i still havent done the Pipes yet..
Been playing around with RC cars so my $$ has been going there.... You can follow

There is no rush thou ....
But will be getting it done soon and will post up asoon as i do.... have decided to go
High Flow cat but only a 2" 1/2 and when turbo goes in i will change to 3" to much loss if i go
3" without the turbo....

G'day everyone thx guys for all the support.
I have finally gone to sureflow to get my new exhaust system
$300 for ballistic cat and $380 for the rest in mild steel.
$680 drive in and out .... 2.5 hrs to get the job done..
I have taken some pictures so I'll post up soon
only just on muffler straight through...
Not too loud but after afew KMs it ahold settle down abit.

The guys at sureflow and Kirk where really good the
welds and craftmanship was really good I thought and
after abit of tweeking it was strong at little higher
when the standard exhaust was intalled tucked up
abit better..

Next brakes I thing then I'll go the diff !!!
