For future occurrences, if your not sure which end it's on..

Google "is it up" and enter the address, it'll tell you the webpages server status.

DDoS to me is like.. going to a bus stop and per-organizing and telling 50+ of your mates to wait with you, all get on the bus so no one else gets a turn? Lol.

its sole intention is to essentially clog the network, so the site becomes inaccessible.

pointless for a forum that only makes money to keep the forum running, so that users can use it free of charge, unless of course the person behind the attack is butthurt, and is the only way to vent their frustration

I think BMW may be in on it - they slagged off at Holden in the paper today. Maybe the BMW forum is sick of all the BMW drivers being registered on a Holden site. LOL
