30th Anniversary HSV Senator (Gone) MY19 Golf R
I've had my VF SS Storm since about May 2014 and had no problems until I notice last weekend the front suspension is making a creaking sound when going over speed bumps. It has done about 18,000 km's. I'm not sure if its worth the time taking it to the dealer since I only drive it on weekends, I can get it checked at the next service which isn't until August. Anyone else had this happen to their VF?

(I tried a search and couldn't find anything.)

Thanks.

Not sure if it is relevant in your case but there was an internal service bulletin (not a recall) or whatever they call it to tighten the ball joints (I think) on a VF 1. My dealer said they did mine 2 services back.

Thanks Revster.

I'll call the dealer on Monday and see what they say. The service department of the Holden dealer I use isn't open Saturdays so I need to take a day off work to take it. (I think I'd rather take it during the week so they don't rush it.)

I can only hear the noise when going over speed bumps so doesn't really bother me, unless its a safely issue obviously.

Just picked up my VFII Redline on Monday and loving it.
The only issue I have is that Bluetooth from my iPhone playing Apple music tends to stutter for 5 seconds or so every few minutes.
Has anyone else had this issue?

A9X, my 2004 VZ Berlina used to do that (creak when going over speed humps). Mind you, it had done over 100,000 km and the front shocks were pretty worn. If going over a closely-spaced series of humps such as you'd find in a car park, it would be silent over the first one but creak on the others. Because of that I always thought it was something to do with the fluid getting agitated in the shock absorbers. On the other hand, it could well have been something to do with worn rubber bushes somewhere in the front suspension. Like you, I didn't feel it was a safety hazard but since your car has only done 18,000 km it's worth getting it checked out, because it shouldn't be doing any creaking at that low mileage (or kilometreage, if you prefer).

So i have a vf series 1 ss ute and driving to work this morning the power steering decided to turn itself off while going around a roundabout. Luckily managed to keep it straight and pull over for a restart of the car for it to turn back on. Would hate to have this at 100ks on some windy roads though.
Car has already been recalled for exact same fault and at the time of recall it was having the same issue. any thoughts on what to do? thinking i will take it to the dealership this morning.

I think I would be demanding a new steering rack, motor and whatever control module looks after the steering unit. In my opinion, driving a car with an intermittent fault such as this is DANGEROUS. If the dealer won't play ball, try escalating the matter to Holden Service. I seem to remember another poster had the same problem, and Holden told him the car was dangerous and shouldn't be driven until new components were installed.

Dealer wont argue that one - either replace connector or new rack.

Ive found holden great with warrantable items. I had a slight clunk in my VF SSV rack. Took it straight it and they replaced the rack next day.

Has anyone had issues with Bluetooth stuttering from iPhone playing music through the Mylink Bose system?
Seems to stutter for about 5 seconds every few minutes.

Picked up my 2016 Redline Sportswagon last week and I have done just over 100 K's in it.

The car always smells like burning oil and the engine bay gives of some serious heat. (uncomfortable to stand near even if the car has only been idling for 5 minutes)

Is this normal? has anyone else noticed this?

Thats all normal bud, car manufacturers spray the Chassis with glues and and adhesives, all meant to burn off during the running in process. Mines done 1100kms and still smells, it will for a while..
