Vr efi 304 conversion into a vh commodore

I used original VH K Frame and power steering rack in my last conversion. If I was to do it again I'd run a VN K Frame and rack with VL ends. the newer K Frame allows more room for the extractors.

Very straight forward conversion.

Personally I'd try to find a vn/vp/vq loom because it's a little easier in terms of wiring. There's a good wiring how-to on the calaisturbo forum.

is the vr a good base? if I buy a complete donor car? or is it worth searching for something else?

Vr will work fine, but you'll have to work with the electronic trans which is a little more difficult. Depends on how much research you're willing to do. Biggest obstacles are the wiring and speedo imo.

Speedo most annoying part either adapt electrical/gps speedo into your cluster or buy cable-x.

Lots of info out there on the net how to wire them up & pcmhacking.net peeps are good help also for tuning & diagrams.
