vr exec 5spd OR vs esteem ???

well, i ended up getting a VS Berlina. went to cairns on the weekend, saw the add in the paper, etc. etc. etc. 1 owner (lady), 144,000k's. it's a real nice car, haven't pushed it yet though (fuel was $1.35/L).

$8,518, incl. stamp duty, tranfer charges, etc. there was one at a dealer in cairns, it was a V8, 220,000k's and they wanted $9.5k for it, so i thought i didn't do too bad considering the prices here. got some good pics of the vr (for selling purposes), might post em up later.

yea funny thing that. the esteem was $9k, i just thought i could negioate down to 8, but there were other people looking at it at the same time, who were prepared to pay 9 so yea, i did much better with the berlina. climate control only works on 3 (fan) and circulate. so i'm yet to do something about that, and i need to find an auto service kit, needs a bleed. anyho, i can't wait to see your calais, good luck today.

but if you don't mind how much did you end up paying for the calais? it would be good to know just to use as a comparison. how many clicks has it done? and was it private or dealer? don't mean to flood you with questions but thanks.

Private sale in Syd.. $9k with 160 on it...

Anything similar in adelaide would sell $12+ from a dealer.

Go the VR, even tho i love my VS

1. Getting it from ur parents means hasnt been ****ed iwth
2. More money to spend on it
3. If anything goes wrong, wont be too bad as you got it cheap
4. IF you smash it, wont really matter much? (touch wood)

You'll love it as a car when you do it up yourself, and the VR in ur pics looks mad!

actually i bought a vs berlina (like i said before), those pics were just for show. the car looks mad? it's more like completely original, in really good cond, that's about it lol.
