What rims and tyres btw?

20" Pentagons with 245/35/20 all round.

I am worried about cracked rims. Haven't had a chance to have a look yet.

As an aside, there were at least 8 or 9 other cars pulled over in the same 100 - 200 m stretch the same time as me.

The tyres are meh....would be due for replacement sooner rather than later anyway.

It is the rims that are concerning me.

Insurance does cover them under impact damage but we'll see.

Also, since this happened, it is very difficult to select reverse (M6).....really have to force it and feels like I might break something.

On a brighter note, the wheel cap stickers arrived yesterday.....

I am now at peace with the world again.

4 new tyres on. Rims are all OK. No probs with the wheel alignment.

The two dead tyres had splits in the sidewalls.

Also swung by my mechanic on the way back from the tyre shop. He put it up on the hoist to check mounts, suspension and such. All checked out OK.

Interestingly, while the tyre shop had trouble finding reverse to get it off the hoist after the tyre change, they had no problem reversing it off the wheel alignment hoist. Selecting reverse was has been as smooth as silk for me since as well so not sure what the hard selecting was all about.

Oh man, those poor rims!! Glad everything else is ok.
I am on the hunt for a set of pentagons, I bloody love em' and would like to have a change from the SV's now and then.
