VZ Adventra alloytec cranks over but wont start.
Turned car off after driving about 10 k's. Tried to restart after 15 mins... no start.
No codes, but "Service Vehicle Soon" warning is displaying.
When cranking over, It has spark at all cylinders.
I can see injectors injecting all cylinders.
Seems to be overfuelling, as the only time I can get it fire a bit is when I hold the accelerator to the floor.
Plugs appear wet, and engine smells fuelly. Has new plugs, injectors and fuel pump (which has in-tank fuel pressure regulator).
Have unplugged MAF to try to get it to use default value in case MAF has failed.
Any ideas on what would make it inject truckloads of fuel please?

When you hold the peddle to the floor that clears the flood condition.

Crank Angle sensor failure will be my guess. It’s a critical part of the security system and when a faulty one gets hot, it’s rooted. Let it go cold and car will run until it gets hot again and crap out.

It’s not expensive and sort of easy to get to behind the drivers side manifold nearer the firewall of the motor. 10mm bolt holds it in.

Best to replace when cold because of hurty hot things like the manifold.

Might take 10-15mins to do.

Sounds like you have the right scan tools to fk about with the engine management if you are seeing some of that data. Check the CAS data. It’s either not there or has a bad signal.

Cheers for the reply Fu Manchu, I will look into the possibility of the CAS being at fault.

Check when it’s cold and then when it’s hot.
It’s also a fairly easy to get and cheap sensor so might be worth your time to swap it, which I’d not say too often.
