What amp do I need.

There was a few amps in that link..
Using the pioneer 2 channel amp, try turning the gain down on the amp.
It shouldn't cut out then.

Pioneer is only 2 channel though.

I assume he was talking about the Pioneer monoblock

4 in a row on either side?....screams DVC to me. You need to check that out first with a multimeter mate. If you need help, sing out and one of us can walk you through it.

DVC? what does that mean?

Never mind. would it be benificial for me to remove the subs to see if they are DVC?
i dont have any electrical gear to be able to check otherwise

You should umm do a bit of research then physically take the sub out of the box and have a look.

Remove the subs and see how they're wired...

They won't be dual voice coil... none of them were

but it would be worth while knowing how the terminals are wired

and take some pics!
