VS V6 UTE Fuel economy 20L/100km PLEASE HELP

might sound dumb but if u run 98 all the time try runnning 91 and see how it goes. i get about 450km out of 55l on 91 but if i go 98 i drop down to 300 mainly because it burns easiler and i sorta got a lead foot sometimes =P

just giv it a try and let us know

The VS was not terribly economical, despite it be the first Commodore to be fitted with the "ecotec". 18-20L/100 around town is pretty average for them. 10-12 on the highway is what they get too. The biggest killer of town economy is an aftermarket larger exhaust system. Sure they sound OK, but they adversly affect the economy.

Without sounding cold, you will just have to live with it.

FYI my VS gets about 13L/100km around town no probs, and will go as low a 8.9L/100km on the highway.

bout 11ish on northen road ( highwayish farly widey but consistant

i have tried 98 fuel but i got 250km out of a tank and now i normally use 91 fuel.
its a v6 auto
i have a redback performance exhaust with straight through tail pipe
i have a bit of a heavy foot sometimes...

from the logs you just sent me the left 02 sensor (passenger side) is dead, sit's on 800mv (Rich) and doesn't move, and in the other log your Radiator fan is coming on and off and the coolant sensor was only reading 40 deg C, either there's a loose connection to it or it's faulty and needs replacing.
