Windsreen with HUD , Distorted vision and double vision

It's getting to me so bad I'm looking for a replacement screen that doesn't have the HUD film in it.
Brand new car , built in feb 2017, owned since march , the dealer reckons he can't see it ?
There's got to be more out there that can see it , I try to ignore it as well but before you know it there's a car coming from the other direction and I'd bet my life on it that it has lower fog lights on , then as it gets closer the lower light merge up to the head light ,,,,, and it didn't have fog lights at all,,,,

Maybe time to get my eyes checked, although, my wife , kids , and brother in law can all see it as well?

I work at a dealer, I've had a customer come back complaining about double vision and distorted objects, we replaced his windscreen with a normal one (non hud), and he was happy!

I'm guessing it had something to do with the film between the glass layers.

I've never heard of another person complain about it though.

It's an effect of the windscreen manufacturing process with the laminate between the two sheets of glass causing 'ghosting'.

Also the members who have a HUD equipped vehicle, you should check with your insurer if your insurance includes windscreen replacement that it will cover the cost of a HUD windscreen due to the high cost.

I've had no such issues with my windscreen whatsoever. Maybe it's a faulty batch?

I drove a September 2016 Redline the other day and that windscreen was bad. The HUD was coming up blurry as if it was a non HUD screen.

Isn’t the HUD film only in a small area? @greggnleah, do you see double from the passenger side, or rear seat?
Try some polarised sunnies in the passenger seat and see what effect that has.
