That's normal isn't it? I see this all the time.

There is a reason I had NORTI plates…..

And I can not be a Police Officer or a Driving Instructor now with my history ;)

Also declined sale on a couple of salvage auctions on impound vehicles even via my business account.

So speeding will get you in other ways if you are too well practiced.
Next plates will be UmmMah

Yeah, that gives me the sh1ts. I think it's like a game for some. 80 in the 100 zone, and then they do 100 on the overtaking part.:(

I’ve seen it quite a bit. I suspect that some drivers aren’t all that confident at open-road speeds, and drive as fast as they feel confident - and end up doing well under the speed limit while on the single lane roads. Then, they come to the nice wide two-lane roads and then they feel more confident to go faster?

A V8 Commodore can whip past them in a flash - or so I’m told.

I retired the NORTI plates from the streets a few years ago. They stayed on the pad a while.

So I don't get 'do you know why I pulled you over Miss Naughty?' anymore :p

New Battery in the VS.
Went the slightly more CCA version from Century as it spends a bit more time in the cold.
Thought I should get it checked out, battery tester showed a cell was down. Would hate to have known the age of the battery, but it had definitely done its duty.

Also swapped the coils out, still trying to figure out this other issue. Next step is leads/plugs which I'll do when servicing as they are a bit aged otherwise it's possibly injectors (they have done many years without being touched).

Still haven't bothered with some other things, but it'll get there.

Haven't driven the ve for a few days. Went to jump in tonight to go and get some fish and chips and it stinks. Smelt like a water leak .checked the floor and sure enough the carpet in the left rear is wet .

Ahhh, the old wet rear carpet on the VE problem strikes again. :(

Picked up a filter and plugs for the VS. Already have oil here. Might get some fresh leads too.
Going to give it a service.
(I can do anywhere from 200 to 1200kms a week for work, past few have been 1000kms a week, so came around quick).

Washed the SS. Finally looks shiny.

Enquired about some of the Penrite 10 tenths 5w-30 full synthetic for the toy. Price seemed cheap with the RACV discounts at Repco, but alas I didn't know how much I'd be needing exactly.
Was sure it would be 6L give or take and they only had the 5L bottles. Not ideal to basically be "throwing away" the other 4L.
