Had this happen to me but it was on the right side. I only noticed it also had reduced braking performance when cornering and I over-ran the corner a bit! Car was under warranty and dealer had to replace something in the front end/brakes. Get it fixed before you make a mess of it.

How do you get this? I have Series II Equipe and I believe it has the same triple window display as the Berlina, but when my digital speedo is on, I only get 'instant fuel' and 'range' in the other windows. I havn't been able to get the digi speedo and average fuel at the same time.

Seems like a lot of work. It rarely gets that foggy that you need them in addition to / as an alternative to headlights. In fact, in 25 years of driving I have only once been in a fog that 'might' have been worth switching fog lights on.

There is an issue with the early Sportswagons prior to about mid 2010 (i think) and water gets into the switch. Over time it will corrode and fail. Later models were upraded, but I'm not sure if Holden will still honour it on a 2009. Worth a try or bite the bullet and put the updated seal in.

Another reason why they may be more expensive is that VE's use a larger tyre (~676mm diameter) and all sizes are less common. Previous large cars for about the last 30 years, including Commodore to VZ and Falcon have a smaller tyre (~647mm diameter) so there can be volume savings there.

Cooling package for 3.0l consists of an extra fan (had this out with dealer when I wanted auto trans cooler). Sorry don't know how many are standard. BTW no (factory) cooling package recommended for 3.6l.

Do VE still use those vacuum operated heater controls? Had one of those leak on my VS once and is was a whistling noise. If it is the issue, it might change when the car moves the vents around with the climate control - if fitted.

Thanks RiCey, but as you will now VE tyres would be 40 series on that rim and I think the load rating is up to 96 from 93 in earlier vehicles (especially in the Sportswagon, although I don't have it here to check). It does affect pricing.

Thanks RiCeY, I will compare prices, but if you still have that VZ, your tyres are smaller than those for a VE. I used to pay about the same as you for my VT tyres, but larger VE tyres are generally more exxy at any size.
